U.S. citizens include anyone born in:

  1. Under 18 years of age, and

  2. Admitted to the US as a lawful permanent resident; and

  3. In the legal and physical custody of at least one parent who is a US citizen.

NOTE: This also applies to children adopted from a foreign country as long as the three conditions above are met.
